[Wellness] Media Ad for Livestrong Day 07

This is an ad the Lance Armstrong Foundation placed in print media for
Livestrong Day 2007.  It says it all.

Cancer thrives on Division.
We are divided in the cancer fight.
We are hundreds of cancer organizations
operating independently.  We are institutions
that fail to share everything we
know with each other.
We are a federal governmentthat cuts
funding programs and research.
We are a society that
doesn't act on what it knows about prevention
and screening.  We are a country
that lets its most vulnerable people bear
the brunt of the disease.  We are the cancer,
and we are the cure.  It's time to unite
the fight.  Each of us has the power to heal.
All of us, speaking in unison, can demand
that cancer become a national priority.

If you have not yet visited  the LAF website and joined the Livestrong Army
of yellow please do it now.  Unity is strength.  Knowledge is power.
Attitude is everyone.

One of us alone working diligently can cause a small ripple in the pond.
All of us together can cause a huge wave that must be paid attention to.
The LAF clearly states that we need to close the gap between what we know
and what we do.  What we deserve and what we get.  What should be and what
is.  We do not insure that everyone benefits from what we know today about
cancer, prevention and detection.  The bill introduced to congress on
Livestrong Day will do just that. We know how to save 56,000 lives a year.
It is unacceptable they die because of the lack of insurance.

These statements both motivated and empowered me.  After all this time
working within the cancer community why did I just have a lightbulb moment.
Why is my heart breaking once again and why is their new vigor in my battle.
I personally need to do more.  You personally could do more.  Please take
the time to join the Livestrong Army.  We need everyone.
