[Wellness] Tonight May 7 Living With Cancer

Hello everyone,
I posted last week about the Ted Koppel progam on Discovery and Discovery
Health last night (SUN MAY 6) The subject is Living With Cancer and it was
an excellent program.  If you did not get a chance last night it will run
again tonight (MON MAY7) at 8:00 EST.  The show was excellent and provided
great insight into survivorship and phyche.  Tedd Koppel moderated the
program which was produced in two segments.  The first segment Ted Koppel
shows conversations with Lance Armstrong and Koppel's best friend and
long-time executive producer Leroy Sievers.  Both speak candidly and
poignantly about their diagnosis, treatment, and life with or without
cancer.

The second segment in a live town hall meeting with Elizabeth Edwards
joining Lance, Leroy and Ted on stage.  During this segment the panel
interacts with the audience comprised entirely of people living with cancer,
their loved ones and the professional who care for them.

This special highlights the urgent need we have to change the way we fight
cancer.  It is time for Americans to demand that our nation's leaders make
fighting cancer a nation priority.  If you have not signed the Livestrong
Army petition please sign it today and unite in a call for change and/or
please forward the petition to 5 friends inviting them to join our efforts.

That is exactly what I will be doing Wednesday May 16 LIVESTRONG DAY on
Capitol Hill with Lance Armstrong and 200 other delegates from every state
in the country.  Please wear your yellow wristbands and yellow shirts, ties,
blouses anyway you can to support and unite in the fight for cancer and
cancer research becoming a priority in this nation.  Unity is Strenght,
Knowledge is Power and Attitude is Everything.  I am proud to represent you
