Pat,

For me because of my large line of cancer history I also have the BRCA markers I was so petrified once I found out and almost didnt want to know, but my doctors and I desided that until my kids get old enough and I stop breastfeeding that I can have clincal breast exams every six months, mamograms every year (im 22) and once my kids turn 4 with unless problems come in,  I will have a double mastectomy and a volentary Hystorectomy (since I already have cists that have formed causeing me pain) So what a present for my 25th birthday huh? IT was my choice, I want to be here a long time for my kids, and my fiance and I cant do that knowing my family history two othre young family members in my family in CLOSE relation had hystorectomys and cancer issues in the breasts so I know im doing the right thing. hope this helps
