Title: Hi there - Intro for Estela

Hi everyone,

I thought this group looked interesting!

I have a background in health promotion, health education and am trained in nutrition and dietetics but my reason for being a member is really to freely chat about womens health and wellness, share my experiences and get a sense of what people currently think and feel about health issues. If I was really honest I would say I guess I am really a feminist at heart and see the impact of men making decisions for women in health care, preventative and public health.

I would dearly love to get back into the health promotion workforce. Currently I am working for a corporate health insurance company because it is local - like many women I prefer to avoid commuting to be closer to family and friends and if it means sacrificing career then so be it!

I am also a mum with a six year old boy and am holding my own balancing work, family, home and 'me' time. Am also studying part time for a grad dip in adult ed and training.

I look forward to hearing from everyone.
