[Wellness] Tamoxifen, weight gain, and hypothyroidism
Tandy wrote to the web admin:
I had no idea that you young ones were affected the same way as an over-50!
At my age I can throw in newly-diagnosed hypothyroidism and taking
Synthroid. I too had been on progesetone & estrogen. Effexor works for me.
>From the two messages that I saw, it sounds just like my experience. Weight
gain despite the great physical shape I was in. Philosophically, I have
concluded that the five-year Tamoxifen use creates such dramatic and
exciting results, that I might as well enjoy it's side-effects for as long
as they last, because it will not be for very long! At the same time, if
there is a solution to this embarrassing problem, I shall pursue it to the
nth degree. Good luck, you brave women!
